Business Systems - Perimeter Protection
- detect intruders as soon as they enter
- a viable alternative where indoor measures are not feasible
- a practical solution for remote sites
Outdoor security sensors detect intruders as soon as they enter a protected area and before they can gain access to people or valuable assets. A quality outdoor security systems demonstrates a significant return on investment by reducing the risk of theft, damage and personal injury.
Outdoor sensors can be used to either compliment indoor security sensors or as a primary security situation where indoor security is not feasible.
Able to protect assets at manned and unmanned sites, outdoor security sensors are a practical solution for remote sites where guards are not a viable alternative.
Closed Circuit television (CCTV) cameras are an important element in outdoor security. CCTV is used to verify whether or not alarms reported by intrusion detection sensors are valid or false ensuring that only valid alarms are responded to.
CCTV pictures can be transmitted off site if required, this is especially useful in an unmanned site situation. The need for land telephone lines is not necessary as CCTV can be transmitted over the cellular network. (Mobile Phones)
Sensors come in many types and sizes, the appropriate type for each application depends on several factors. Sensors can be classified into four groups, Volumetric Sensor, Fence Mounted Sensor, Video Motion Detection and Barrier Sensors, all of which could be combined to create one comprehensive system.
External perimeter protection is a specialist field and suits remote locations i.e. large homes, remote warehouses and other types of industrial buildings, airports etc.
